Well, we are headed off in a new direction this year. I didn't like the BASS Central Opens schedule for 2016, two stops in La. and I have never fished a bayou before so I looked at all my options and decided to fish the Southwest division of the FLW Costa Series. Sam Rayburn in February, then Grand Lake in April and back to Ft Gibson in the fall.(I will not have a repeat of last year on Ft. Gibson) FLW is a great organization and the competition is just as tough as the Opens just NO Bassmaster Classic at the end of the rainbow! The Forrest Wood Cup is not to far from it though! I still will want to qualify for the Classic but I would be HAPPY to fish the FWC. I have had some success on Sam Rayburn before, at the BWS National Championship in 2012(the tourney Albert Collins won to qualify for the Classic) I was in 10th place after the first two days then I smashed my boat into a stump and trashed my lower unit on the third morning.(caught one on the trolling motor and then had to catch a ride back at 11am, only needed one more fish to make the top 25 and fish the last day) Still ended up 30th there. so I am extremely happy with the schedule. It is so hard to work a 60 hour a week job and still get enough time to practice and keep your skillset tuned up and compete at this level. Hard, but not impossible!"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"! Miracles happen on a daily basis and I have witnessed my share!
